Physical and Physiological Effects
Vibrational resonance: We are made up of 60%-70% of water. Sound waves travel roughly 4x faster through liquids than through air, your fluid-filled body behaves like an acoustic antenna. Sound waves move through skin, tissue, cells, and organs, creating a subtle physical massage effect on the body.
Autonomic nervous system support: Helps lower heart rate, normalize respiratory patterns, and improve blood pressure.
Sleep enhancement: promotes the parasympathetic “rest and digest” state, which helps people fall and stay asleep more easily.
Personal Sound Bath
Personal Sound Bath
A personal sound bath is a private, immersive experience where sound is used intentionally to support deep relaxation, release tension, and restore your nervous system. Unlike group sessions, a personal sound bath is tailored to your needs— making it ideal for people who want focused attention, have specific goals, or prefer a quieter, individualized setting.
Benefits
Deep relaxation and reduced stress
Improved sleep quality
Reduced muscle tension and physical discomfort
Heightened body awareness and emotional release
Mental clarity and reduced anxiety
Support for meditation, trauma-sensitive care, and recovery practices
Session formats
In-person private session: One-on-one in a quiet treatment room, typically 60–90 minutes.
Private-home session. I’ll bring instruments and sets up in your chosen space (travel fee may apply).
Aftercare suggestions
Drink water to support hydration and grounding.
Allow gentle activity for the remainder of the day; avoid scheduling high-stress tasks immediately after.
Journal any insights, sensations, or dreams that arise.
Consider light stretching or a short walk to help integrate shifts in your body and energy.
Who benefits most
Personal sound baths are suitable for people seeking individualized care: those who prefer privacy, need focused intention (stress reduction, pain support, grief processing), have sensory sensitivities, or desire a deeper one-on-one therapeutic relationship.
Group Sound Bath
A Group Sound Bath
A group sound bath gathers people in a shared space to rest, listen, and be held by sound. Unlike performances to watch, a sound bath is an experience you participate in: you lie comfortably, close your eyes if you like, and allow layers of resonant instruments wash over you. The vibrations and sustained tones guide your nervous system away from doing and toward receiving.
What to expect
Arrival and settling: The session usually begins with a short settling period. I offer grounding instructions, gentle breath work, and an intention prompt to help you arrive in the present.
Comfortable setup: Bring a yoga mat, blanket, pillow, and anything else you need to be warm and supported. Participants are encouraged to make themselves physically comfortable; sound affects you best when the body is relaxed.
The sound journey: There will be sequence of sounds and timbres. Low-frequency tones can feel deeply resonant in the body; higher tones can feel uplifting or clarifying. Sound may ebb and flow in intensity, creating waves of stillness and awakening.
Silent integration: After the main soundscape, there’s typically a quiet period for integration. This allows subtle shifts in body and mind to settle before returning to activity.
Closing: Sessions often end with a short closing — a few words, a bell, or gentle movement — to bring people back and offer space
